International Conference on Diet and Activity Methods
Between April 27 and 30, Gospel Ikpotokin-Ab, GDAR and University of Cambridge MPhil student, attended the International Conference on Diet and Activity Methods in Toronto, Canada. The conference brought together diet and physical activity scientists and practitioners from around the world to share research, deliberate, and give forecasts of the future around the theme: 25 years on, Diet and Physical Activity methods for all.
Gospel participated in discussions regarding more objective methods for assessing dietary intake and activity patterns of individuals, food insecurity and malnutrition. There was a collective sense of the good that the challenges around diet and physical activity are being tackled together, with neither taking precedence over the other.

Gospel was also able to explore the bustling city of Toronto by visiting the Toronto Museum where legendary canadian artefacts and the archives of the heroes of Canada are kept, the CN tower (1815 feet high) which offered an incredible view of the entire city and the Ripley’s aquarium of Canada with a vast species of aquatic life.
The conference ended on an exciting note; with participants looking forward to the next conference in Seoul, 2028.
